The Challenge

Stok was engaged to retrofit Five Prime’s former BCOP Building 2 into a high-performance LEED Silver certified space under the LEED v4 Commercial Interiors rating system. Specifically, Stok:

  • Provided LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning services, LEED CI consulting, and energy modeling for the strict requirements of a life science project.
  • Ensured the vivarium space achieves the necessary rigorous temperature and humidity control in addition to strict lighting control.

Five Prime Therapeutics, now acquired by Amgen, leased Building 2 at The Cove at Oyster Point in South San Francisco, CA. Five Prime’s former space consisted of a mix of laboratory and office, occupying all four floors of the building and 98,309 SF of construction type II-A.

INTEGRATED SERVICES

Stok provided LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning services, LEED CI consulting, and energy modeling, allowing the client to benefit from efficiencies of an integrated approach.

AN EVALUATION OF SYSTEMS

Stok evaluated systems including rooftop AC units, supply and exhaust air valves, hydronic hot water system, gas fired water heaters, central lighting controls, and normal and emergency power systems.
