3. How We Share Your Personal Data
Generally. We share your personal data for the purposes you consent to at the point of collection, with third party service providers, with IT service providers to help us administer our website, and as you direct. We never sell or share your personal data for valuable consideration, and have not done so in the previous 12 months.
Service Providers. We rely on third-party service providers with which we may share your personal data for the purposes indicated above. For example, we share your email address with our marketing service providers if you opt into communications from us. We may share your job application with talent acquisition service providers. We use a third-party hosting provider that processes but does not see your personal data.
Whenever we rely on such third parties, we make sure that they provide an adequate level of protection to the personal data they process on our behalf. When subject to the EU’s General Data Protection Law, we enter into European Model Clauses as adopted by the European Commission.
Business Transfers. We may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, the information collected from customers and end users may be one of the business assets that is transferred. As such, the acquiring entity may possess your personal data in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, or dissolution transaction or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets, provided that we will not sell your personal data as a primary component of such transaction. In the unlikely event of a bankruptcy, insolvency, or receivership, personal data may also be transferred as a business asset.
Protection of Stok and Others. Regardless of the choices you make regarding your personal information, we may disclose your personal data if Stok believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary: (a) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on Stok; (b) to enforce or investigate any potential violations of our website, this Policy, or potential violation of law; (c) in connection with a legal investigation; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
