ON REIMAGINING THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT:
“I always keep an eye on simplicity: what solutions can be pulled from nature, from past wisdom, from thrift, versus solutions that harness new technology, data, and machine learning. I strive to help clients embrace the value of building and materials reuse, seeking creative partnerships to maximize the value of every element in the built environment, designing for future reuse, and identifying opportunities to test out new ideas or technologies.”
ON A FUTURE THEY WANT TO LIVE IN:
“I want to live in a future that is built on restorative stewardship. We absolutely need to build sustainability into our building codes, public policy, and corporate standards. But we also need to foster the growth of a culture that values our deep connection to and impact on ecological systems, and ties our personal health and wellbeing to the health and wellbeing of the planet.”
