Manav Anand
As a Commissioning Intern, Manav supports commissioning across various projects involving clients and industry partners. His responsibilities include streamlining internal processes to enhance efficiency and assisting with on-site functional testing. In his role, Manav aims to expand his existing knowledge of building engineering and commissioning while actively contributing to Stok's commitment to decarbonization.
ON REIMAGINING THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT:
“In all building engineering projects, engineering consultants design the project and contractors build it, but it is commissioning that bridges the gap between the two. The built environment takes shape under the commissioning processes that confirm that the goal and the design intent of the project are carried forward when the project is delivered. I enjoy impacting projects through efficient use of energy, innovative design methodologies, and how these translate into the operational aspects of the project throughout the lifetime of the project and aim to learn even more about them in my role.”
ON A FUTURE THEY WANT TO LIVE IN:
“I imagine a future where the built environment is part of the natural world. Instead of seeing man-made structures as disruptive, they are part of the system and are self-sustaining. As a future engineer, I wish to activate my passion and use my skills to build this vision.”
