ON REIMAGINING THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT:
“As a society, we are past the point where energy efficiency, water efficiency, and waste reduction are acceptable targets. The climate crisis at hand demands that we go further. Our building infrastructure has the potential to reverse damage that humans have inflicted on the environment and, at the same time, to nourish our collective health and wellness. By implementing strategies that sequester carbon, reuse precious water supplies, eliminate toxic chemicals, and maximize air quality, we can transform our built environment into a place that is truly regenerative.”
ON A FUTURE THEY WANT TO LIVE IN:
“The future I dream of is one where people and the planet are living together in prosperous harmony. A place where we all feel a strong sense of belonging and connectedness with other humans and organisms, where mutual respect and love is intrinsic, and where both social and environmental injustices have been corrected. Doesn’t it sound great? Let’s make it happen!”
