EMBODIED CARBON | LIFECYCLE CARBON ASSESSMENT | SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Prateek is a Carbon Services Senior Project Manager, helping clients integrate embodied carbon considerations into the planning, design, procurement, and delivery of complex capital projects, with a focus on data centers. Drawing on nearly a decade of structural engineering experience across buildings and infrastructure, he collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, data-driven strategies that reduce carbon while balancing performance, constructability, cost, and business objectives. Prateek’s approach combines engineering expertise with systems thinking to help organizations translate ambitious climate commitments into measurable outcomes. His goal is to make low-carbon decisions easier to understand, easier to implement, and easier to scale.
ON REIMAGINING THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT:
“I believe the built environment should create value beyond the structures we build. Every project is an opportunity to reduce carbon, improve resilience, use materials more efficiently, and strengthen communities. I enjoy bringing together engineering, sustainability, technology, and collaboration to solve complex challenges and help shape infrastructure that performs better throughout its entire lifecycle.”
ON A FUTURE THEY WANT TO LIVE IN:
“I want to live in a future where sustainability is embedded in every decision that shapes the built environment. I envision communities supported by resilient, low-carbon infrastructure, where engineering innovation, business leadership, and thoughtful investment work together to improve people’s lives and the health of our planet. I hope to contribute to a future where climate-conscious decisions become standard practice across every project and every industry.”
