BUILDING DECARBONIZATION

Stok’s carbon services are backed by engineers and specialists to translate strategy into action. We integrate energy efficiency, electrification, and renewables and provide embodied carbon analysis, materials guidance, life cycle assessments (LCAs) for LEED, BREEAM, Living Building Challenge, and Zero Carbon Certification, and consulting support to achieve zero carbon buildings.

GREENHOUSE GAS INVENTORIES AND DATA MANAGEMENT

Stok conducts greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories to take stock of emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Our Inventory Management Plans (IMPs) document the process, safeguard institutional knowledge, and support third-party assurance. We also streamline data collection processes to optimize asset- and portfolio-level emissions reductions.

CARBON REDUCTION TARGET SETTING

Stok supports clients in setting ambitious and achievable Science Based Targets (SBTs), as well as in developing roadmaps to reach them on your committed timeline. We help clients assess a range of potential credible target options and understand how these options stack up against market trends, third-party frameworks, and levels of investment.

EMISSIONS FORECASTING AND REDUCTION PLANNING

Stok analyzes carbon footprints to develop tailored forward-looking estimates and detailed reduction roadmaps. Roadmaps outline prioritized and integrated strategies to reduce emissions year over year in an achievable, cost-effective manner. They also include budgets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and interim milestones for cross-team implementation.

RENEWABLE ENERGY AND CARBON CREDIT STRATEGY

Stok develops renewable energy and carbon credit strategies that meaningfully contribute to global emissions reductions and help you credibly achieve your climate goals. Stok performs whole-building life cycle assessments to measure embodied carbon impacts and identify solutions to minimize the impact. We support real estate developers and owners in collaboration with design and construction teams to set corporate embodied carbon targets and align embodied carbon strategies to meet your decarbonization goals.
